Iris keeps a dated, sourced record of what changes in points and miles programs. This page describes exactly what Iris stores when you use it, what it does with that, and what it will never do. Last updated September 18, 2026.
The programs you select. The balances you choose to type, which are optional. A random identifier stored in your browser, so that returning to the page does not start a new record; if you give an email address, the identifier is linked to it. The channel you arrived from, when a link carries one. Your email address, only if you enter it. A record of each email Iris sends you and whether it was delivered. And, if you tap a response in an alert — for example, that you moved your points — what you told Iris you did.
To show you which verified changes affected the programs you hold, to size what a dated change does to a balance you entered, to tell you when the next change lands if you gave an email address, and to learn — in aggregate — what holders do when they are warned in time.
Iris does not sell, rent or share information about you — your email address, your identifier, your balances or what you did after an alert — with card issuers, airlines, hotels, loyalty programs, advertisers, data brokers or anyone else. The only exceptions are the service providers described below and a valid legal order. Iris earns no commission from any issuer or program. Iris does not run advertising. Iris never asks for a login, a password, a card number or access to any account. Balances you type are sent to the server and are never placed in the page address, so they are not exposed by sharing a link.
Iris uses a small number of service providers to operate: database and web hosting, and email delivery. They process information on Iris's instructions, only to run the service, and may not use it for anything else.
Iris may publish or license statistics that describe many people at once — for example, what share of holders moved points before a deadline. A statistic never contains an email address, an identifier or an individual balance, and Iris does not release a figure about a group small enough to point to one person. Buyers may include the programs themselves. No one can pay Iris to change what it tells you.
Balances are stored as a dated record that is never edited or overwritten, because a record that can be rewritten cannot show what changed. Your email address is kept until you ask for deletion; if you unsubscribe, Iris stops writing to you and keeps the address only to make sure it never writes to it again. The browser identifier stays until you clear your browser storage.
Write to the address below and ask. Iris deletes your email address and the records tied to it. Balances entered without an email address are tied only to the random identifier in your browser; Iris cannot look them up by name, because it never had one. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. It removes your records from every future statistic; figures already published are not recalculated.
Every change to this page is dated and listed below. If a change would let Iris do more with information it already holds, Iris will write to every subscriber before it takes effect, and it will not apply to information collected earlier without your agreement.
Iris is an early-stage, independent project. It is not yet incorporated and is run by its founder, who answers for this page and can be reached at the address below. If a company is formed to operate Iris, or Iris is transferred to one, your information moves with the service and stays under the promises on this page; this page will then name that company and record the date.
Iris is meant for adults and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
